Leadership Thoughts; “Getting somewhere is important, how you get there is equally important”
by sspiva on Jan.17, 2009, under Leadership Development
Forget petty politics and worrying about upsetting other people for your own selfish personal gain. Treat all people with respect and use the mission and vision of the organization to guide your direction. Not only will you do the right thing for the right reason, but also people will recognize and respect how you got there in the end.
Thank you for the Christian leadership you exemplify each day.

Leadership Thoughts; “Critique Everything”
by sspiva on Jan.12, 2009, under Leadership Development
At the end of the day, I try to spend some quiet time just to reflect on the days events. Just a personal review of what I did or did not say to the people I came in contact with, or how I responded to the events of the day. Many times I wish I could re-live the moments and respond in a more appropriate manner. This helps me make personal improvements and a conscience effort to do better next time.
Leadership involves constant evaluation. After every event, gather those involved and critique the situation. Even if things have gone well, analyze them. This will build confidence and trust with teams and provide direction for the future.
Thank you for the Christian leadership you exemplify each day.
