Juggling Elephants
by Frank Bealer on Feb.24, 2008, under Guest Speakers
When Pastor Larry mentionted that he would be sharing about our work this week, I immediately thought about my journey with God when it comes to work. I have told so many people that the biggest thing that I deal with in my life is balance. How can I possibly juggle my duties as a father, husband, son, pastor, business executive, and child of God?
Well, while it is extremely complicated, I believe that you have to work at a balanced life. And by work, I mean, read, study, and plan to live a balanced life (Doing Life Intentionally).
I entilted this entry juggling elephants because there is a book of the same name that has been a recent eyeopener in my journey toward balance. While it’s not a book based on scripture, it’s thoughts are simple yet profound. We are the ringmaster and our life is a circus (sounds like a pretty good description of my life).
I want to encourage all of you that are trying to make ‘it all’ work to hang in there, get together a plan, and watch God do great things through you.

Everyone Ends Up Somewhere. Few People End Up Somewhere On Purpose.
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
Are You Doing The Work God Wants You To Do? _____ Yes _____No
If yes, celebrate and elevate. “Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; celebrate his wonderful name.” Psalms 135:3 NLT
If no, don’t panic. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men…” Colossians 3:23
