Sometimes you may wonder why we wrestle with such things as: the Whys of life, Envy, Anger, Satan, Sin. Why can’t we spend all of our Sunday mornings talking about the positive stuff? Well, we do sometimes, but it’s important to realize that happy feelings just don’t last very long. Honestly, how long do you talk about those flowers, balloons, or food that got dropped off at the office for you? We may be happy for a little while but then LiFE happens and we’re down again where do we turn? Our goal is to give you the tools necessary to follow Jesus no matter what the circumstances. We’re here for a very simple reason.
John Piper puts it this way in his book Don’t Waste Your Life: “God created us to live with a single passion: to joyfully display his supreme excellence in all spheres of life. The wasted life is the life without this passion. God calls us to pray and think and dream and plan and work not to be made much of, but to make much of him in every part of our lives.”
May today be a day that we make much of God.
