Why Don’t I Always Feel God?

Today, we are going to deal with the question, “Why don’t I always feel the presence of God?”

The Bible says, “If you will seek your Heavenly Father, you will find Him. And He’ll never leave you nor forsake you.” So, why are there are times you feel so close to God, and at other times so far away?

The Bible tells us that our Heavenly Father will never leave us or forsake us.

So why do I feel like God is so far away at times? Do you feel that way at times?

Or what about this…does it seem like other peoples prayers are answered and yours are not? Sometimes when people ask me to pray for them I want to say, are you sure, my track record of answered prayers is not very good. I will pray for a marriage and they get divorced, I pray for someone to get a raise and they get fired.

Here is something else to think on…how many of you know someone who is really a good person, someone who is always doing the right thing and then something bad happens to them? A few years back I spoke at a funeral where a 12 year old boy, a great kid, died by accidentally shooting himself.

Then, as a police officer in my younger years, so many times I would see a really bad criminal, get off with nothing. WHY?

It just isn’t fair!

I think these questions not being answered correctly is the reason a lot of people are side stepping a relationship with God.

So, what are your thoughts on WHY???
